Our Women's Weekend Presenters
Reverend Tammi Brantley, Youth Pastor
Emory Grove Methodist Church
A preacher, leader, mentor, trainer, and experienced pastor is what some of my colleagues have called me. I have been actively involved in ministry since 1998 and held variety of positions at other churches. As a part of my ministry to youth, I work to strategically design specific ministry models based on the context and culture unique to the church. Key components to developing youth ministry designs, are implementing spiritual curriculums, leadership training and development, annual retreats, summer conferences, and community events.
I have also served in other capacities as a preacher where I have conducted and facilitated workshops for women of all age groups and has traveled extensively preaching various celebrations in the life of the Church to include women’s day, family and friends’ day, and church homecomings. My preaching and teaching ministry is best described as energetic, spontaneous, and on fire for the Lord. I bring many assets to the table with an emphasis on strong work ethic and dynamic team leadership.
Before entering into full-time ministry, I worked as an Account Manager in the Business Development Department for United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS Inc.). In this capacity it was a part of my position to negotiate contracts, implement logistical and supply chain management solutions, and responsible for client specific solutions requiring the engagement and support of cross-functional internal and external team members in the development of strategies.
I strive to be a well-rounded and balanced preacher. I participated in Princeton’s Theological Seminary’s “hatch-a-thon” which is a collaborative incubator experience, where creative people get coaching and colleagues around mission and social enterprise. It is a 46-hour intensive “hatch” process designed to turn ideas that feel “wild ‘n’ woolly” into actionable, sustainable ministries. I am also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
